Have been a fan for many celebrities but this man is special. I can watch is his movies over and over and never get bored. There is something about him, his style, simplicity, charm. Here I am presenting you a short bio of my favorite star Mahesh Babu.

Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on 9-Aug 1975, Mahesh Babu is an Indian actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist. He owns G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. production house. He started his career with a cameo role as a child artist in Needa (1979). He acted in eight more movies at the age of four as a child artist. He debuted in Rajakumarudu as a lead actor which made him achieve State Nandi award for Best Debut Male.

  • Background: He is son to prominent Telugu Cinema Actor Krishna Ghattamaneni and Smt. Indira Devi. He is fourth of the five children.  Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu, Padmavathi and Manjula Swaroop are elder siblings of Mahesh Babu while Priyadarshini is the younger sibling of him. His childhood was spent mostly in Chennai under the care of his maternal grandmother Durgamma and the rest of his family.
  • His life: Ramesh Babu looked after his academic performance as his father was fully committed to films. During the shoot of B. Gopal’s movie Vamsi at Australia, Mahesh began to date his co-star Namrata Shirodkar and after being in a relationship for four years, they decided to get married, and Manjula convinced Krishna in favor of their decision. They married on 10 February 2005, Mumbai.
  • Kids: The couple was blessed with their first child, a boy, on 31 August 2006 they named him Gautham  Krishna, who has played Junior Mahesh Babu role in Nenokkadine. On 20 July 2012, they were blessed with a girl whom they named Sitara.

Mahesh’s elder sister Padmavathi is married to Galla Jayadev, an industrialist and a politician. Mahesh’s youngest sister Priyadarshini is married to Sudheer Babu, who made his debut later as an actor in Telugu cinema.

After Rajkumarudu (his debut film) became commercially successful he was referred with “Prince” title by fans. He did two more films following year – Yuvaraju and Vamsi. After their failure, he made a comeback with Murari. The performance made him achieve the Nandi Special Jury award. Takkari Donga and Bobby, released in 2002 were too commercially unsuccessful but he was praised for his performance in both of them.

In 2003, he delivered the highest earning film of the year – Okkadu. He bagged his first Filmfare award for Best Actor – Telugu. He went on doing films, some were shattering all the box office records while some were surprisingly commercially unsuccessful.

Dookudu, Businessman and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu were his career highlighting movies. He made Hat-trick of successful films with these three. All three of them were record breakers which reportedly made him the second highest paid actor after the god of Telugu Cinema – Rajnikanth in Telugu Cinema.

He won many awards for his performances and still continuing with back to back successful movies.

He is handsome, attractive and extremely talented but most importantly he is a man with a heart of gold. He donates 30% of his income for the charity. He is part of many NGO’s for good causes. He does charity secretly as preferred by him. In February 2015 Mahesh adopted Krishna’s native village Burripalem, a minor panchayat in Tenali, to take care of their basic needs.

He is a Superstar, he looks fabulous with an amazing personality, and is a delight for the eyes of viewers. He is not only a Telugu favorite but also loved internationally. The words are too little to describe him. He is literally prince of our hearts. Recently his Madame Tussauds wax statue was unveiled in Hyderabad in 2019.

His estimated value is net worth around $20 million, Including most expensive Bungalow in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad apart from cars and other luxuries.

While I decided to write something about my Fav actor, he is enjoying his holidays with his love & life celebrating his 25th Film success – “Maharshi”. Always wishing him success!
